Tournament Rules 

 

 

1.        Shore fishing, stringers, canoes or trolling are not permitted.

2.        ONLY artificial lures may be used.

3.        A maximum of  two (2) persons per boat will be allowed and only ONE fishing rod per person at a time can be used.

4.        A livewell or approved aeration system is required in accordance with the state of the PA. Fish & Boat Commission. A minimum of 48 quart cooler & adequate aeration system.

5.        Early weigh-in will not be allowed, unless otherwise determined by the tournament director.

6.        All fish must be released.

7.        The prevailing lake size limit will apply, undersize fish will result in disqualification from the tournament.

8.        Returning late to the weigh-in will result in disqualification.

9.        A four  (4) ounce penalty will be assessed for each dead fish and a two (2) ounce penalty for each “distressed” fish weighed in, per the discretion of the tournament director.

10.     All PA Fish & Boat Commission rules & regulations will apply.

11.     The decision of the tournament director is final.

12.  12.   Boats weighing fish must remain in the water until their boat number is called to bring their fish to the scales.

13.     Fish will be measured mouth closed & tail pinched on a straight line from the center of the GOLDEN RULE. Refer to your PA Fish & Boat Commission rules summary for an      illustration.

14.     The consumption of alcohol or any illegal drug or substance during the tournament will result in disqualification from the event.

15.     Pre-tournament catching of fish and releasing in a different area with the intent of “stacking” fish is prohibited.

16.     Coast guard approved personal floatation devices must be present on board for each participant.

17.     The tournament director may, at his sole discretion, delay the tournament launch and/or weigh-in due to weather conditions or any other situation as he sees appropriate.

18.     Boat number (#) tags must be handed in & placed on the tournament board prior to the start of weigh-in as called by the tournament director.

19.     Number of fish claimed when handing in boat tag, MUST match the number of fish brought to the weigh-in or DQ will result.

20.     Courtesy rule of 25 yards to be observed

21.     No refunds for late arrivals or no shows

22.     80% payout and 100% lunker

23.     Tie breaking procedure will result in splitting of money

24.  Leaving your boat is not permitted – unless in the case of an emergency
